Anne Dwight Eisenhower was born in 1949, is a famous interior designer in New York, collectors and philanthropist, is also the 34th President Dwight David Eisenhower (Dwight d. Eisenhower introduced) granddaughter.

The highlight of the sale is Van Cleef Arpels’ ‘Jarretiere’ ruby bracelet made in the 1930s. Inspired by couture, the design uses platinum to create an architect-like geometry. The whole piece is studded with more than 60 oval cut Burmese rubies in a uniform, intense and bright red color, which is particularly rare.

American actress Marlene Dietrich acquired the ruby bracelet in 1937 and wore it in the 1950 Hitchcock film Stage Fright and at the 1951 Academy Awards. Anne Eisenhower bought the bracelet in 1992 for $990,000. It is expected to sell for between $2.5 million and $4.5 million.

Another notable item is Tiffany’s “Moonlight Rose” bracelet, circa 1925. This Art Deco work incorporates an intricate gemstone cutting and setting technique. The rose is framed by a custom-cut ruby and emerald setting, and on the other side is a hidden set of steps that cut sapphire. The visual focus is an oval diamond cut from a rose, with perfect detail and ingenuity. Estimated value: $500,000 – $700,000.

The highlight of the high quality gemstone lot is a 20.54ct emerald cut diamond ring with D and IF clarity in the main stone, with a trapezoidal cut diamond on each side to complement the striking size of the main stone. It is estimated at $1.2 million – $1.8 million.
