The French jewelry family Boucheron has just launched a new season of the “Serpent Bohème” series, continuing the iconic water droplet snake head element. The biggest highlight of the new work is the introduction of a new gemstone – “Rose Quartz” as the main stone, presenting a gentle and romantic light pink tone, paired with the elegant femininity of Rose Gold.
The most unique feature of ‘Serpent Boh è me’ is the use of a water droplet shaped gemstone to symbolize the spirit snake. This design originated from a snake shaped necklace given to his wife by Boucheron founder Fr é d é ric Boucheron in 1888, representing love and protection in a romantic relationship.
The new work features rose gold as the main material and offers two gemstone options – a single water droplet shaped cut “Rose Pink Crystal” with a sweet and dreamy pink tone. In Greek mythology, this naturally textured rose pink gem comes from the goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite; The ‘Diamond Inset’ version showcases a dazzling fire color, with the outer ring adorned with sparkling gold beads as the finishing touch.
The new series offers options for rings, bracelets, necklaces, and other items. The most eye-catching one is a Serpent Bohème interdigital ring, consisting of three water droplet shaped faces – one end is set with a nearly 3ct water droplet shaped rose pink crystal, and the other end is extended with two closely packed diamond water droplet patterns. The ring wall is adorned with a full snake scale pattern, echoing the snake head element.
