Piaget has just launched a new season of the “Possession” series, continuing its iconic rotating gold ring design. The highlight of the new work is the integration of Piaget’s “Palace Décor” gold carving decoration launched in the 1960s, reminiscent of the delicate silk texture in high-end fashion.
The “Palace style totem” is an exclusive gold carving technique introduced by Piaget in the 1960s, which was first used in the chain decoration of brand watch designs. Goldsmiths need to manually carve horizontal grooves of different depths and widths, giving it a delicate texture like precious metal silk fabric.
The most eye-catching design in the new work is the three pendants, which are available in rose gold and platinum versions – the pendants present three freely rotating gold rings, embodying the beautiful meaning of “fortune turns”. The gold rings are respectively inlaid with round diamonds, paired with palace style totem carving or mirror polishing treatment, creating a flowing light and shadow that complements the dazzling fire colors, creating a magnificent and charming style.
The new ring also incorporates diamond inlay and gold carving techniques. The most magnificent one is a wide edged ring with a 4-ring design, with a central 2-ring rotating ring embedded with 82 bright cut diamonds and 2 gold carved palace style totem patterns on the outer edge. The style is agile and has a magnificent visual level.
