Skeleton Concept “French Montana Concept” reimagines the Rolex Daytona

French watchmaker Skeleton Concept and designer Kevin Novitch have redesigned the Rolex Daytona for the French state of Montana.
The $65,000 “Montano French Concept” was originally a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 116520, after which the movement was skeletonized, sandblasted and coated in black so it could be seen through the sapphire crystal dial.
The green and red color palette reflects Montana’s Moroccan roots and flag, while the personalized translucent green sapphire bezel was a first for Skeleton Concept, which took five months to complete. The 12-hour sub-dial of the chronograph is adorned with Arabic numerals, another nod to the diamond artist’s origins.
The Skeleton Concept is available in two versions of the French Montana Concept, one in original Oystersteel with an anthracite PVD finish and a satin-brushed bracelet with polished sides, and the other with a carbon fiber case and nylon strap.
“Inspired by my cultural roots, this complex watch from Skeleton Concept stands out for originality, precision and quality,” says French Montana. “Bringing the French Montana concept to life with visionary Kevin Novich was both inspiring and rewarding, especially now with a watch that symbolizes our country.”
The “French Montana Concept” is now available to order from Skeleton Concept for 65,000 Euros (about $65,000).
